WHY DO WE EXPERIENCE WEIGHTLESSNESS WHILE MOVING DOWN IN A LIFT

Expert Answer:

We feel a part weightlessness while a lift/elevator  moves down, but if the elevator/lift is in free fall, it's acceleration and our the acceleration we fall is same i.e. g. The lift floor no longer gives a normal reaction which we interpret as our weight. Hence the weightlessness.
