What is the difference between the two phases of photosynthesis?

Light reaction is a photochemical reaction whereas dark reaction is a synthetic reaction.
Light reaction takes place in presence of light whereas dark reaction is independent of light.
Light reaction takes place in grana of chloroplast whereas dark reaction takes place in stroma of chloroplast.
Light reaction synthesises ATP whereas dark reaction utilizes ATP.
Light reaction involves photolysis of water and releases carbon dioxide. Dark reaction involves fixation of carbon dioxide to poroduce carbohydrates.
