Light reaction and dark reaction are the 2 stages of photosynthesis. Light reaction takes place in the presence of light. It involves photolysis of water and releases oxygen. Here ATP is synthesised.
Dark reaction is independent of light and involves reduction of carbon dioxide to produce carbohydrates. It uses ATP.
