We can calculate the number of spectral lines by using the formula,
Number of spectral lines = n(n-1)/2
Here n=6
Therefore the no. of spectral lines emitted = 6(6-1)/2
= 30/2
= 15 lines
So there will be 15 spectral lines emitted when the excited electron of Hydrogen atom in n = 6 drops to the ground state.
