WHAT IS GLOTTIS AND EPIGLOTTIS?

Glottis is the vocal apparatus of the larynx, consisting of the true vocal cords (vocal folds) and the opening between them.
Epiglottis is a flap of cartilage that covers the glottis when swallowing. This helps to prevent food and liquid from entering the trachea and lungs.
