what is difference between hydrogen and hydride

Hydrogen:
Atomic hydrogen is placed at one position in the periodic table. 
It has one proton and one electron which means it is a free radical (H)
 
Hydrides:
Hydrides are the hydrogen atoms with an extra electron, which means it is a negatively charged ion or anion of hydrogen (H-).
