what is an electric cell?

Electrical cells are the source of direct current. For example, we use the dry cell to use in torch lights, clocks and remote controls etc.
In a cell chemical energy changes into electrical energy when current drawn from the cell using devices like torch lights and clocks.
There are two kinds of cells. They are primary and secondary cells. Primary cells are use and throw type. Primary cells provide current as a result of the irreversible chemical reaction. primary cells cannot be recharged.
In secondary cells, chemical reactions are reversible and can be recharged
