Diamagnetic means that when the substance is placed in the magnetic field, it is weakly repelled by the magnetic field. It has no unpaired electrons.Pairing of electrons cancels their magnetic moments and they lose their magnetic character.
H2O, NaCl and C6H6 are some examples of such substances.
