WHAT ARE VALVES AND LUMIN IN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM?

Expert Answer:

Valve is a structure with a flap to maintain one-way flow of blood through it. They are present between two chambers of the heart or between a chamber of the heart and a blood vessel. In heart, the valves maintain the unidirectional flow of blood by opening and closing depending on the difference in pressure on each side.

Lumen refers to the cavity of a blood vessel.
