Heat produced, H = I2 Rt,
where I = current, R = resistance, t = time
H is proportional to R;
The ratio of values of resistances in series and parallel connection is 2 : (1/2) = 4 : 1
So, the ratio of heat produced in series and paralle combination = 4 : 1
