Expert Answer:

The question should be like below:

Solve for x and y:

ax + by - 2a + 3b = 0

And.   bx - ay = 3a + 2b

Consider,

ax + by = 2a - 3b ...(i)

bx - ay = 3a + 2b ...(ii)

Multuplying by b to equation (i) and by a to equation (ii)

abx + b2y = 2ab - 3b2 ...(iii)

abx - a2y = 3a2 + 2ba ...(iv)

Subtracting (iv) from (iii) we get y = -3

Put y = -3 in (i) we get x = 2
