Expert Answer
2 a x + 3 b y = ( a + 2 b ) ...................... (1)

3 a x + 2 b y = 2 ( a + b ) .......................(2)

eqn.(1) × 3  gives ,  6 a x + 9 b y = 3 a + 6 b  .......................(3)
eqn.(2) × 2  gives ,  6 a x + 4 b y = 4 a + 4 b  .......................(4)

Eqn.(3) - Eqn.(4) gives ,  5 b y = 2 b - a  ,  hence  y  = ( 2 b - a ) / (5 b )

By substituting y in eqn.(1) , we get x = ( 4a + 2b ) / ( 5a )
