Sir, Please tell me that how can I find the orbitals of a given quantum number?

Expert Answer:

The information about the orbitals are provided by the magnetic quantum number.
For  example
If n=2
Then l = 0,1
And m = -l to +l
So, For l= 0  , m= 0    ,it means there is one orbital
and For l=1 , m = -1, 0 ,+1 , It means 3 orbitals
and total number of orbitals are   1+3  = 4.
