Expert Answer:

 Tn   =  a  + (n - 1) . d  ===> 15  +  (n  - 1) . 12    == 235      here n  should be an integer

      ==  (n - 1) . 12  == 235 - 15 = 220

      ==  ( n - 1)  == 220 / 12 == a fraction

       == n  ==220 / 12   +1 == 232 / 12 which is a fraction .  So 235 cannot be a term in the given progression

    [[[   { 232/ 12  ==  19  and 1/3 ,,,)

 19 term of the progression is == 15 + ( 19-1) . 12 = 15 +  216 = 231

 20 th term is === 15 +   ( 20  - 1) . 12  = 15 +228 =  243  . therefore 235  is  not a term in the given progression ]]]
