Expert Answer:

Hi Raymond, This is very easy! The given A.P is k + 1, 3k and 4k + 1 Since it is an A.P, The common difference between two consequent terms will be equal. Therefore 3k - (k + 1) = (4k + 1) - 3k 3k - k - 1 = 4k - 3k + 1 2k - 1 = k + 1 2k - k = 2 Therefore k = 2
