CBSE Class 10 Answered
if alpha and bita are the zeroes of a quadratic polynomial X^2+X-2 then find the value of(1/alpha -1/bita)

Hint
x2 + x - 2
x2 + 2x - x - 2
x(x + 2) - (x + 2)
(x - 1) (x + 2)
x = 1, x = -2
So these are the possible zeroes.
Now simplify
![1 over straight alpha minus 1 over straight beta
fraction numerator straight beta minus straight alpha over denominator αβ end fraction](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/79d30660ade2fd99a8aefdf330bdb1c2.png)
Therefore the possible values are
(-3/2) or (3/2)
