f(x) = 0 is quadratic equation , if f(x0 is polynomial of order of 2 .

(A)  11 = 5 x2 + x3

Above equation is not polynomial because order of polynomial is greater than 2

By multiplying 4y on both sides , we get

12y2 = 8 + 28 y

12y2 - 28y - 8 = 0

Hence , eqn(3) is quadratic equation

(C)  4 x2 + 3 √x - 2 = 0

Above equation is not qudratic because √x appears

(D) y2 + 2 y = y2 + 3 y

Above equation is not quadratic because above equation is simplified as " y = 0 "
