Separation of Miscible Liquids:
  1. Distillation: This method is used for the separation of components of a mixture containing two miscible liquids which boil without decomposition and have a sufficient difference in their boiling points. 
  2. Fractional Distillation: This method is used for the separation of a mixture containing two miscible liquids, for which the difference in their boiling points is less than 25oC. 
Separation of Immiscible liquids:
  1. Separating funnel: This method is based on the separation of a mixture containing two immiscible liquids, containing a heavy and a light liquid.
