HOW TO CALCULATE EQUIVALENT RESISTANCE
Asked by PALLAVI GARG | 05 Jun, 2013, 11:30: AM
answered-by-expert Expert Answer
for a series connection Req = R1+ R2 + R3 + ....

For a parallel connection 1/Req = 1/R1+ 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ...

You can also use kirchoff's law for computing resisting by assuming current in each circuit arm and then used the law that potential drop in a closed loop is equal to 0 to compute the equivalent resistance for complex circuits.
