How can we decide whether an oxide is basic, acidic, amphoteric or neutral.Please give me a detailed explanation for the same.

Basic oxides: Those oxides which react with water to give hydroxide are called basic oxides
Acidic oxides: Those oxides which reacts with water to form Acids are called acidic oxide.
Amphoteric oxide: The oxides which exhibit both acidic and basic properties are called amphoteric
