Give Reasons
Q1)Acidic conditions increases rusting.
Q2)Rusting is faster in salt solution.

1)There are more hydrogen ions (H+) in acidic conditions and these ions pull out the electrons from iron.So the production of iron ions will accelerate with increasing acidity and result in rust formation.
2)Salt water increases the electrical conduction of electrolyte solution formed on the metal surface.
Therefore, rusting becomes more serious problem where salt water is present.
