The total resistance of the circuit is 3 ohms. So current through the resistors is 6V/3 ohms = 2 A.

Power in 2 ohm resistor will be i^2R = 2^2 . 2 = 8 W

For the circuit in parallel find the current through the 2 ohm resistor. It is given by 4V/2 ohms = 2A.

Power in 2 ohm resistor will now be i^2R = 2^2. 2 = 8W.
