Figure shows the dipole having charge 500 μC separated by a distance 10 cm .
Electric field at a point P which is at a distance 20 cm from charge at B is given by

where K = 1/(4πεo ) = 9 × 109 N m2 C-2 is Coulomb's constant , q = 500 μC is magnitude of
each charge of dipole , dA = 0.2 m is the distance from positive charge to the point P
and dB = 0.3 m is the distance from negative charge to point P .
