An alternating current changes it's direction 1000 times every 0.5 minutes find it's frequency

Expert Answer
frequency = number of cycles/time = (number of directional changes/2)/time
Since one complete cycle involves 2 directional changes.
frequency = 500 cycles/0.5 min = 500 cycles/30 sec = 50/3 Hz.
