Alluminium wire of resistance is pulled so that its length becomes 4 times its origional length. find the new resistanceof the wire in terms of its original resistance

Expert Answer
Let the original length of wire be L, cross sectional area be A
Then resistance,
Now length of wire L in increased 4 times by pulling i.e L'=4L .It means its cross sectional area will become A/4 i.e A'=A/4
Then new resistance will be
