Formulae for Chapter Electricity: -
Current, I = Q/t (Q - charge; t - time)
Potential difference, V = W/Q (W - Work done; Q - charge)
Ohm's law: -V = IR (V- potential difference; I - Current; R - Resistance)
R = ρl/A (R - resistance; ρ - resistivity; l- length of conductor; A - Area of cross section)
Resistances in Series: For n number of resistors connected in series- Equivalent resistance, Rs = R1 + R2 + R3 + ......Rn
Resistances in Parallel: For n number of resistors connected in series-
Equivalent resistance,

Heating effect of electric current
Work done by the current in an electric circuit, W = VIt = I²Rt
W = V² t /R
W = V² t /R
This energy is exhibitedas heat. Thus, we have
H =VIt = I²Rt ....(Joule's Law of heating)
Electric Power, P = VI = I²R
P = V²/R
P = V²/R
