Charge is always conserved .
 
Hence charge q  present in 5 identical drops will be accumulated as 5q in the final drop.
 
if r is the radius of small drop , then radius of final drop is determined by equating volume
 
5 × (4/3 ) π r3 = (4/3) π R3 
 
Hence , R = 51/3 r  = 1.71 r  .....................................(1)
 
Total potential of 5 drops , V= 5 × K × (q/r)  .......................(3)
 
where K = 1/ (4πεo ) is Coulomb's constant
 
Potential of final drop, Vf  = K × [ ( 5q ) / R ]  ........................... (4)
 
using eqn.(1) , Potential of final drop, Vf  = K × [ ( 5q ) / (1.71 r )  ]
 
Vf = 0.585 × 5 × K × (q/r) ..................(5)
 
By comparing eqn.(3) and (5) , we see that Potential has decreased by a factor 0.585
