the electrical potential on the surface of a hollow sphere is 40V. its radius is 2 m. find the electrical potential near the centre of this hollow sphere.

Potential at centre = ?
Potential at surface = 40 V 
r = 2m 
For hollow sphere, 
We know, 
Electric field inside the sphere is zero
We know, 
E  =-dV/dr
Thus, 
As E  =0 
dV/dr = 0
So as V =0 
we can say that V is constant at any point inside the sphere. 
Hence, the electrical potential near the centre of this hollow sphere is 40 V.
