Write the equations of motion and state their essential conditions.

The three equations of motion are:

1. v = u + at  
2. begin mathsize 12px style straight s equals ut plus 1 half at squared end style    
3. v2 - u2 = 2as
 
Here, s = displacement; t = time interval; u and v are initial and final speeds

These equations of motion hold true under the condition of uniform acceleration only.
