A body moving with uniform acceleration  travels 84m in 6seconds and 264m in 11seconds.  Find acceleration and initial velocity? (In detail)

Distance S moved in time duration of t seconds is

where u is initial velocity and a is acceleration.

If distance moved in 6 seconds is 84 m , then we get from eqn.(1)

similarly , If distance moved in 11 seconds is 264 m , then we get from eqn.(1)

By solving eqn.(2) and eqn.(3) , we get

initial velocity u = 2 m/s and acceleration a = 4 m/s
