What is trajectory of charged particle when it is projected at an angle to the uniform magnetic field?Explain.

Expert Answer
When a charged particle is projected in the direction parallel to the magnetic field, then it continues moving in the same direction after entering it.
When a charged particle is projecteed in the direction perpendicular to the magnetic field, then it moves in circular path obeying Lorentz's force rule.
Hence, when a particle is projected at an angle it follows both the above mentioned trajectories, i.e. it moves in forward as well as circular paths.
This forms a helical trajectory for the particle.
