Tribal kids can now seek admission to English-medium schools

Thanks to the Integrated Tribal Development Department Scheme for 2016–17, tribal students who wish to study in reputed English-medium residential schools can now do so.

Students hailing from the four districts of the Marathwada region—Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Latur—can avail of this scheme.

Interested candidates will have to collect forms from the Tribal Development Department office located at Azad Chowk in Aurangabad. The department will bear all the expenses of the shortlisted students. Children of single, destitute, divorced mothers and those below the poverty line would be given preference.

Along with the form, candidates have to submit their caste certificate, medical fitness certificate, bonafide certificate, consent letter of parents and two passport-sized photographs. The last date of submission is 20 April.
