Process

Step 1: Get the water bowl ready.

Step 2: Gently place the paper clip and see if it floats. No?

Step 2:  Now, take a piece of tissue paper and drop it on the surface of the water.

Step 3: Place the paper clip on the surface of the tissue paper.

Step 4: With the help of the stick, carefully poke the tissue paper until the tissue sinks.

Step 5: You will notice that the paper clip doesn’t sink.

So, this is how you make a paper clip float.

Scientific Reason

So, how does this work? The paper clip floats due to Surface Tension.  Surface Tension created by the water molecules make the paper clip float.
