Mumbai's First Women's Engineering College in Thane

Mumbai University is all set to start its first women’s Engineering College in Thane from this academic year. The college has been named as the New Horizon Institute of Technology and Management. The college has already got its approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is currently awaiting the state government’s approval.

The college will have 300 seats for the first academic year. It will offering a new course on Mechatronics which is a blend of Mechanical, Electronics, Control, Telecommunication and Computers. The college has got an approval to fill at least 60 seats in each course.
