No multiple seats for DU applicants
Students won’t be able to block seats at numerous colleges anymore.
Students seeking admission in Delhi University (DU) colleges won’t be able to block seats at numerous colleges anymore. Once the cutoffs are declared, students will have to visit the DU portal www.ug.du.ac.in and then select the course and the college. This time DU colleges will release only five cutoff lists.
Post that, an admission slip of the selected college will be generated. The students will have to submit that slip and their documents to get admission to the college.
Students will get three days to take admission to the colleges after the cutoff is declared. Colleges will approve their admission on the admission portal itself. Unlike previous years, students can now pay their fees online.
However, there is one major change. Students who have received admission to a particular college and plan to change it to another cannot do so unless they submit an application for cancellation of admission from their current college.
Once the college approves it and updates this information on the portal, the student is free to choose any other college. The college will have to return the documents as soon as possible.
There are a total of 54,000 seats in 61 DU colleges. June 19 is the last date to apply for admissions.
