JEE Main 2022 Paper Analysis - 27th July (Shift 1 & 2)

JEE Main 2022 session 2 exam commenced on 25th July 2022, and 27th July was the third day of the second attempt for JEE exam. Each day the exam is held in two shifts— shift 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and shift 2 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for Paper 1 BE/B.Tech. A detailed JEE Main 27th July 2022 question paper analysis for both shifts is shared below. Students can also check the section-wise difficulty levels.

The question papers for both shifts comprised 90 questions each. The time allotted was 90 minutes. There were 30 questions in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics sections each. The NTA will soon release the official JEE Main 2022 Session 2 Answer Key once session 2 concludes. The dissatisfied students can challenge the same by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 for each question.

1st Shift, 27th July 2022: Major Highlights

Students who appeared for the JEE Main 27th July 2022 second attempt Shift 1 exam shared the following feedback:

● Most students found the JEE Main 2022 question paper moderately difficult and lengthy.

● A few questions in Physics were tricky but not too difficult.

● There were several NCERT-based questions in Physics and Chemistry sections.

● The Maths section was the most difficult of all.    

● The topic coverage for all sections was judicious.

The numerical-based problems were simpler and were more than theoretical questions.

 

2nd shift, 27th July 2022: Major Highlights

The students summarised the question paper in the following comments:

● Overall, the paper was moderately difficult for an average student.

● Nearly every chapter from CBSE Class XI and XII syllabus was covered.

● It was a balanced paper in terms of coverage of topics.

● It was similar to the JEE Main 2022 Session 1 paper.

● Physics was the easiest of all the sections.

Chemistry was moderately difficult but doable in the given time frame. 

● Maths, as usual, was the most challenging, and a few questions were time-consuming.

● The difficulty level of NAT questions was moderate.
