JEE Main 2022 exam commenced on 25th July 2022. Day 2 –26th July 2022 Shift 1 was held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Shift 2 from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm for Paper 1 BE/B.Tech. The question papers for both shifts comprised 90 questions each that were to be completed in 90 minutes. Every correct answer carried 4 points, while an incorrect answer would lead to one mark deduction. An unattempted question leads to no deduction of marks.
The official JEE Main 2022 Session 2 Answer Key is expected to be available within 3 days once the exam concludes. Aspirants who wish to challenge the answers can pay Rs.200/- for each objection. 1st Shift, 26th July 2022: Major Highlights
Students who appeared for the JEE Main 26th July 2022 Shift 1 exam summarised the question paper in the following statements:
● The paper was moderately difficult but was easier than the Session 1 JEE Main paper.
● Students who have thoroughly prepared Physics and Chemistry using HC Verma and NCERT will be able to score high.
● The difficulty level of numerical answer-type questions was average.
● The Chemistry section was moderately difficult. It had several direct questions.
● The Physics section contained several formula-based questions that made it easier.
● The Maths section was difficult because a few questions were time-consuming.
● The paper was balanced, and the questions covered almost all the chapters from classes XI and XII.

2nd shift, 26th July 2022: Major Highlights
● The overall difficulty of the paper was easy to moderate.
● Its pattern was somewhat similar to the previous year’s (2021) JEE Main paper.
● Physics and Chemistry were easier compared to the Maths section.
● The difficulty level of NAT questions was average.

Key points
This section was tricky and had more focus on the following topics: Vector 3d Statistics Mathematical reasoning Coordinate Complex
It was a balanced section with more emphasis on Organic and Physical Chemistry.
Assertion and Reasoning questions were a bit tricky but doable.
The questions in the Physics section were mostly based on the following topics: Mechanics Waves Sound, Thermodynamics Communication Systems Current Electricity
Overall: The paper was moderately difficult, with the Chemistry and Physics section being easier and more direct for any student who had thoroughly prepared the entire JEE syllabus.
