ShareJEE Main 2022 Session 2 exams have begun. In two shifts, NTA conducted Day 1 of JEE Main 2022 on the 25th of July. The first shift for the JEE Main 25th July 2022 was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift was held from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The JEE Main 2022 exam is for those aspiring for B.E. / B. Tech admissions. The question paper comprised 90 questions. Each question carried four marks, and every incorrect response would lead to a deduction of one mark. 1st Shift, 25th July 2022: Major Highlights
The candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 25th July 2022 Shift 1 exam had the following statements regarding the question paper’s difficulty level:
● A majority of students claimed that the paper was of moderate difficulty.
● All three subjects had a balanced topic coverage.
● It was feasible to complete the paper in the given period of 90 minutes.
● Some questions from Mathematical Reasoning and Statistics were difficult.
● The Chemistry section wasn’t difficult. It had fairly easy questions from all the important chapters.
● Physics was tricky.
● The difficulty level of NAT questions was moderate.
● Students remarked that the paper was easier than session 1.

Mathematical Reasoning and Statistics held more importance, and the questions were challenging. The solutions to questions were lengthy and made the paper a bit hard.

Organic Chemistry had more weight than Inorganic and Physical Chemistry. The questions were mostly NCERT-based, but Class XII topics had higher coverage than class XI. |
Electromagnetism and Mechanics had more weightage in the paper. Class XI and XII topics were given equal importance. |
Overall: The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Maths was time-consuming, but the students could efficiently manage their time owing to an easier Chemistry section.
2nd shift, 25th July 2022: Major Highlights
● The paper had an average amount of simpler NCERT-based questions.
● The Chemistry section had several theoretical questions.
● Maths with many conceptual questions was the toughest of all, but it was doable.

Questions were asked from all chapters with an emphasis on Vector Algebra and Conic Sections. Calculus had less weightage. The NAT questions had lengthy calculations and were tricky. |
Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry had more weightage compared to Inorganic Chemistry. Physical Chemistry questions were easy. Several Inorganic Chemistry questions were from NCERT. |
An equal number of questions were asked from Class XI and XII chapters. Mechanics and Electrostatics carried more weight. Some numerical-based questions were easy. NCERT fact-based questions from class XII chapters were also present. |
Overall: The paper was moderately difficult and could be cracked by a student who had thoroughly prepared the entire JEE syllabus. The easy Chemistry section was a treat for all.
