JEE Main 2019: NTA Releases CBT Information

NTA or the National Testing Agency, the main regulatory body which organises UGC NET, JEE, NEET and other state-level management examinations, has released the guidelines and CBT procedure for JEE Main 2019.

Significant Guidelines:

- Candidates need to download the handbook and mock test paper available on the official website at www.ntanet.nic.in. The major objective of downloading this paper is to get a clear idea on the examination paper pattern.

- Once you select the correct answer, click on the ‘Save & Next’ button to save the answer.

- You have an option to change a saved answer any time during the test. To do so, select the question whose answer you wish to change from the question palette and click on the ‘Clear Response’ button.

- If you are not sure about an answer, click on the ‘Mark for Review & Next’ button to mark a question for review without answering it.

Important Buttons:

  • Save & Next to save an answer
  • Mark for Review & Next to mark an unsure question for review
  • Clear Response to change a previously saved answer (after selecting the question from the question palette)

Also check the official notification released by NTA.

CBT Procedure:

1) Each candidate will be allotted a separate computer system by NTA. Candidates will have to log in and enter their details accurately.

2) Once logged in, candidates need to see and follow the detailed instructions required for the examination.

3) Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully regarding the types of questions and marking scheme.

4) Note the countdown timer at the top right hand side of the computer screen.

5) Once the timer reaches zero, the examination will automatically end. A candidate is not required to end or submit the examination.
