ICSE Class 10 Board Exam 2020 : History & Civics Paper Analysis

The Council of Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (CICSE) conducted the History/Civics examination of ICSE Class 10 on 11th March 2020. The question paper was of 80 marks and was divided into two sections and sub-sections.

 

In Civics, questions were mainly asked from the chapters ‘The Union Legislature, Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers and ‘The Supreme Court’. Most of the questions were of the easy to medium level in this section.

In History, the questions were easy and most of the questions were asked from the chapters ‘The First War of Independence, Mahatma Gandhi and the National Movement, The First World War, The Second World War and United Nations and its Agencies.

Overall, we can say that the paper was easy. Students who had solved past year papers would be extremely happy as about 70–80% of questions which featured in the History/Civics exam paper were asked in the previous years’ papers. So, we expect that students who had solved past year papers and had prepared well, will score 85% or more in the subject.
