CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 Revised Date Sheet released on 5th March

On Friday, 5th March 2021, the updated CBSE Board Exam 2021 schedule was released. CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams are scheduled to begin on 4th May, 2021. The exams will go on till 7th June for Class 10 and 14th June for Class 12. With this CBSE news update, students can heave a sigh of relief. Class 10 and Class 12 students can now plan their revision as per the newly released dates.

 

Shift in 2021 CBSE exam dates

Remember, the CBSE website is the best source for latest updates in exams and exam dates. Earlier, India’s Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had shared updates on Twitter about the upcoming CBSE exams. Several fake date sheets showed up after that. When you look at the new exam dates released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), you will find that some exam dates have changed. For example, the CBSE Class 12 Physics exam which was earlier scheduled for 13th May, 2021, has been shifted to 8th June, 2021. 

 

A look at the new CBSE Class 10 date sheet for 2021

As per the new Date Sheet, English and Hindi exams will be held on 6th May and 10th May, respectively. Exams for languages such as Odia, Kannada, and Lepcha will be held on 4th May. Science exams will take place on 21st May. 27th May is the date of the Class 10 Social Science exam. On 2nd June, Mathematics exam is scheduled. CBSE Class 12 revised dates for 2021

For Class 12 students, the first exam on 4th May will be English. Generally, the duration of the exam is 2 hours but for some exams such as Carnatic Music Vocal, the exam duration will be 3 hours. The paper on Taxation is scheduled for 5th May. After the Business Studies paper on 12th May, there is ample time for students to do a last-minute revision for the CBSE Class 12 Commerce Accountancy on 17th May.

For Science students, the Chemistry exam is on 18th May and the Biology exam is on 24th May. Students have Sunday so that they can go through formulae and textbook solutions for last-minute revision to prepare the Maths exam which is scheduled for 31st May. The Hindi exam is on 1st June. On 8th June, the Physics examination is scheduled.

Economics and Sociology exams are on 25th May and 28th May, respectively. For the detailed schedule of Class 12 exams, click here

Exams for Class 12 students will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

 

Tips to prepare for the upcoming CBSE Board Exam 2021

  1. Set aside adequate time for revision of difficult topics so that you do not have to rush through the last minute.
  2. Check the holidays between two exams to understand how much time you will have for last-minute revision and plan accordingly.
