Amid Covid - 19 CBSE Revises Activity Calendar for Classes 1 - 8

The activity calendar is currently four weeks and if the lockdown continues that calendar will be extended as well.

Online classes are a norm these days and due to widespread presence of COVID – 19 this is the only format to get formal education which is E-learning.

As every school has opted for online teaching and online classes, the absence of a regular classroom learning experience may haunt the students, thus, leading to boredom. To ensure that students don’t get bored at home and make the most of the learning experience at home too NCERT has introduced certain methods that have to be a part of the learning process and will make learning interactive. Such activities are being encouraged so that students take interest in online learning like they did for traditional learning.

According to an official statement by NCERT, “NCERT has come out with revised activities calendar for 1-8, CBSE is assessing the situation and loss of time to rationalize syllabus for classes 9-12 and inform in due course of time.”

The activity calendar is currently four weeks and if the lockdown continues that calendar will be extended as well. CBSE realized that maybe not all students have access to regular internet. Therefore, they have asked the parents to stay connected with the teachers over the phone as well. The activity calendar is designed in such a way that it involves being both online and offline. Whilst maintaining the productivity of the students academically.
