The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared that the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) will be held on 3rd of May, 2015.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has declared that the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) will be held on 3rd of May, 2015. The eligibility criteria, syllabus, pattern etc. will remain similar to those of 2014 as notified by the Medical Council of India. Details of the test are available on the official website www.aipmt.nic.in.

AIPMT will be conducted all over India except in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. This is because both these states had opted out of the All India Scheme since its inception. T he schedule for the submission of application forms will be announced shortly.

AIPMT is an entrance test held every year for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges in India. It consists of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Of the total seats available in all medical and dental colleges run by the Union of India, state governments and municipal or other local authorities, 15% is reserved for candidates who pass AIPMT. Approximately 5,50,000 students applied for AIPMT last year, and the number is expected to rise this year.
