RPM stands for revolutions per minute. It is used to calculate angular speed of a particle moviing in a circular motion.
If a particle completes one revolution in 1 sec then its angular speed is given by
omega equals fraction numerator 2 straight pi over denominator T end fraction omega equals fraction numerator 2 straight pi over denominator 1 end fraction omega equals 2 straight pi space rad divided by sec or straight omega equals fraction numerator 2 straight pi over denominator begin display style bevelled 1 over 60 end style end fraction straight omega equals 120 straight pi space Revolution space per space minute
Since the particle completes 1 cyclw in 1 second 
so its frequency is
1z
