What do you mean by isotopes?

Expert Answer
Isotopes are the nuclides of the same element which have the same atomic number but different atomic weight.
As isotopes of an element have the same atomic no. they contain same number of protons and same number of electrons.But they contain different number neutrons as their atomic weight is different.
