The point(1,-2) is reflected in the x axis and then translated parallel to the positive direction of x-axis through a distance of 3 units,find the coordinates of the point in the new position.

If the point (1,-2) is reflected in the x-axis, its coordinate becomes (1,2).
Now if we move the poin (1,2) parallel to x-axis and in +ve direction of x-axis,
the x-coordinate of the new point will be 4 and the y-coordinate will remain same.
Thus the position of point is (4,2).
