Given that,
I1 = 2 A
I2 = 0.5 A
R1 = 2 Ω
R2 = 9 Ω
V1 = V2 = V
For case I
E = I1 (2 + r) = 4 + 2r ... (1)
For case II
E = 4.5 + 0.5r ... (2)
Thus by comparing equation 1 and 2 we get
r = 1/3 Ω
