if the 20N force is acting towards north on a 10 kg mass, then acceleration is 20/10 = 2 m/s2 .

displacement Sn in north direction after 2 sec will be determined by the formula Sn = (1/2)×a×t2 ,
since initial velocity towards north direction is zero. a is acceleration and t is time.

Sn = (1/2)×2×2= 4 m/s

velocity component along east direction is unaffected. hence displacement Se in east direction after 2 second is given by, Se = 2×2 = 4 m/s

resultant displacement as shown in figure = 4√2 m/s
