if X square + 2K x kx + 4 4 is equal to zero has a root x is equal to 2 find the value of k

As the equation x2 + 2kx + 4 = 0 has root x = 2, so 2 satisfies the given equation.
Therefore, 22 + 2k(2) + 4 = 0
4 + 4k + 4 = 0
Therefore, k = -2
