how will you separate a mixture of salt and sugar?

Dear student
Sugar is organic,(contains carbon) and is soluable in organic solvents like alcohal. Salt is insoluable in alcohal.

Add alcohal to the mixture, filter out the salt, then evaporate the alcohal and the sugar will be left
